At tonight’s city county meeting (11/13), the Los Altos Community Pool Foundationwill present its Rosita Pool model. I got a peek at the model during the Downtown Holloween Spooktacular.
The Los Altos Community Pool located at Rosita Park will have the following configuration:
- 25 Yard x 25 Meter Main Pool consisting of eight lanes, approximately 30% will be shallow.
- A children’s activity pool that will consist of a fan shaped water feature with a beach level entry leading to an 18″ deep wading pool and splash pad wet play area.
- Concession and picnic area.
- Locker rooms.
The Los Altos Community Pool Foundation recently (June 2007) launched its Fundraising Lane Campaign where the goal is to raise $600,000 in sponsorships for each of its 8 lanes (totalling $4.8 million).
The Los Altos Community Pool is located at the end of Rosita Avenue (access from Campbell Avenue) behind Covington Elementary School.
