The Lakes of Mountain View Condominium Complex
We recently listed a lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom condominium in the Lakes of Mountain View complex so I thought I would give everyone a little more information on the complex.
The Lakes of Mountain View condominium complex, located at 928 Wright Avenue, is ideally situated just three blocks from downtown Mountain View’s vibrant Castro street, its farmer’s market and the Caltrain station. It is also conveniently located to highway 101, Central expressway, the Shoreline recreation area and golf course and the Stevens Creek trail.
The lakes of Mountain View commonly know as “The Lakes” was built in 1980. It consists of 72 (either 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom or 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom) units spread out among 12 buildings. Each building consists of either 4-units or 8-units. Note: the buildings are two-story, but the units themselves are single level. The grounds consist of a large water feature, otherwise know as the lake, and a lovely swimming pool and spa area.
The units are quite spacious. The 3-bedroom units consist of approximately 1414 square feet and the 2-bedroom units consist of approximately 1183 square feet. The units appear larger in part to their high ceilings and abundance of natural light via a multitude of windows. The 2nd story units have ceiling heights approaching 12 feet.
Each unit features a living room with wood burning fireplace, a separate dining room, a large kitchen with eat-in bar and excellent storage and counter top space, an interior full-sized laundry area and two spacious decks (one outside the living room and the other outside the master bedroom). There is a single car garage assigned to each unit and additional parking in the various parking lots within the community. Cars must display a Lakes of Mountain View parking tag for overnight parking.
The Lakes Home Owners Association (HOA) allows one pet no larger than 30lbs per unit. HOA dues are currently $450/month and include water, garbage, common area maintenance, landscaping, earthquake and liability insurance.
Neighborhood schools would be Theuerkauf Elementary, Crittenden Middle and Mountain View High school. Please confirm with the districts on availability at each school.
